Instructions for Authors

Transactions follows formatting guidelines of APA 7th (2019).

General Guidelines

Please submit your document in both Word (.doc or .docx) and PDF format and right-aligned in 12 point Times New Roman font. Double-space your document with continuous line numbering throughout. In-text citations should follow the latest APA guidelines.

Title

Be concise. Use APA 7th (2019) in title formatting.

Author(s)

List each author’s last name, first initial, followed by their affiliation. Changes in affiliation may be enclosed in parentheses.

Keywords

Identify up to six key words for electronic searches.

Abstract

Follow the abstract heading with up to 300 words identifying purpose of the manuscript, and briefly summarize the pertinent sections of the manuscript.

Introduction

Follow the introduction heading with an explanation of the purpose, objectives, and hypothesis. Briefly review other relevant work.

Procedure/Methods

Follow the heading with an explanation of where, when, and how the work was conducted, including the materials used.

Results

Follow the results heading with the findings; supplement with tables and figures as needed. Do not include raw data, but do include standard descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, standard error, sample size, etc.) to allow readers to do their own inferential statistical tests. If raw data is needed, it may be included in an appendix. Avoid the redundancy of presenting the same information in tables, figures, and as a narrative. Show the results of inferential statistical tests with the calculated value, degrees of freedom, and an exact or relative p value; for example, P < 0.05.

Discussion and Conclusions

Follow the discussion heading with an interpretation of the results as related to the original objectives and hypothesis. Relate the findings to existing work and investigate the need for further research. Identify known sources of error and faulty methodology in the study design.

Acknowledgments

Follow the acknowledgments heading with statements about sources of funding, advising, collaborations, or other aid. This section may sometimes be omitted. Note conflicts of interest.

Literature Cited

Follow the literature cited heading with a list of literature cited arranged alphabetically and chronologically. Use a lower-case letter after the year to distinguish multiple publications by the same author or authors in the same year. For Internet and non-standard information sources, give enough information so that the reader can locate the original source. The doi must be included when available.

Appendix

This is an optional section that may be used for raw data, surveys, visual aids, or other information.

Figures and Tables

The location of figures and tables should be noted in the text but be placed at the end of the manuscript submission by figure or table number. APA 7th should be followed for format.
